Physical Properties
Garnet is the name of a collection of silicate-based minerals that share the same cubic structure. The most popular red garnet is an almandine garnet, made deep red by iron deposits. There are many different types of garnets that manifest as almost every color except for blue.

Garnet has been used as a gemstone for over 5000 years. Prized by the Pharaohs of Egypt who were buried with them for their journey to the afterlife. It is said that Noah and was the most popular gemstone of Ancient Rome where it was commonly used as a signet ring to seal official documents.
It was often given to those traveling as it was said to aid their safe passage.
